Extension privacy
Last updated: 4 October 2026. This page covers the TradieTenders Autofill Chrome extension. Short version: it handles one thing — your own bid profile — and it never submits anything for you. The website has its own privacy policy.
What the extension handles
- Your bid profile — business name, ABN, contact details, address, licence details, insurance details, capability statement. It fetches this from tradietenders.com when you ask it to, so it can type those values into tender forms for you.
- A pairing token — created when you connect the extension with the one-time code from your account. It's how the extension proves to tradietenders.com that it's yours.
Where it lives
- The token and a short-lived copy of your profile are stored locally in your browser's extension storage, on your device only. Never synced, never logged.
- The only server the extension talks to is tradietenders.com — to fetch your own profile. That's it. The contract is
GET /api/ext/profile.
What it never does
- Never submits a tender. It types values into empty form boxes when you click "Fill this page". You review every box and lodge it yourself.
- Never touches your portal passwords. It skips password, hidden and file upload fields entirely.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your data with anyone, full stop.
- No tracking, no analytics, no ads. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
Your controls
- Click "Unpair this browser" in the extension popup any time — it wipes the token and the cached profile from your browser immediately.
- Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored.
- Your bid profile itself is edited from your account. Want your data gone outright? Email support@tradietenders.com and we'll remove it and confirm.
